Option to reserve a specific class in bulk rather than individual reservations

We've had students ask if they can they book a bulk number of classes for the specific class they attend each week (rather than making 10 separate reservations using their 10 class pass for example). It's a shame we can't make the most of this opportunity while they are keen to sign up for lots of classes in one hit.

I have had this come up multiple times with my clients as well. For me, it’s mostly memberships that request this feature. I wouldn’t mind the feature being available to membership clientele only (as a perk/upsell).

I agree. I'm tired of doing standing reservations every quarter for 100 clients, 2-3x per week.

Shelley Ballestrazze: we do it every 8 weeks for twice the clients. NIGHTMARE

I've had that request as well! Anything that would streamline the registration process for them. I also have a number of students who purchase an Unlimited Monthly Pass, and I know they'd love to sign up for every class in one step.

Yes I've asked for this before too. I'd prefer it to be the customers responsibility not mine.

Hi Lisa - You can create a standing reservation for them if you'd like. That's not something THEY can do, but I wanted to make sure you are aware you can do that for them. Here's the support article explaining more: https://support.punchpass.com/en/articles/1033072-can-regular-customers-have-standing-reservations

Chris Patton: Thank you for your reply and alternative option. I do already use standing reservations however, I do require that students have a active pass to reserve spots. I know I can also add them as a trusted customer, however the student who asked me about making a bulk reservation was only new and has attended only one class. They wanted to go home and purchase a 10 class pass and book 10 classes in one go using their pass rather than 10 separate reservations. I had to advise them they had to make the reservations separately (as I didn't want to make them a trusted customer ...being so new to the studio).
I understand I could make them a trusted customer then undo it once they've purchased their pass, but if I opened that option up to everyone, it would go back to becoming a labour intensive admin job maintaining everyone's trusted accounts for reservation purposes.
I feel many students would make use of the ability to book a specific class in bulk. (I have very few trusted customers as I don't want to have to start chasing up people for unpaid reservations). This option would keep the reservation process completely in the hands of the customer... which is something that I love about using punchpass. It has taken the time-consuming admin work out and given it to the customers 👌

Chris Patton: Hey Chris and Lisa... When you are in a customers profile you have the ability to "bulk register" them for any class in your schedule. I believe this is a newer function. It is great as it bypasses the standing reservation feature and allows admin to select multiple classes at once for the customer. Since the programming exists for Admin's is there a way to also make it available to the customers. THis may help?

Lisa: I agree. The lack of ability to register for recurring classes has come up with many of my long time clients, and new customers. I don't offer to do this for my customers, as it is not something I can (or want) to add that to my admin time, especailly in the case you describe where you have to go chasing for unpaid classes.

Lisa: Hi Lisa - Thanks for the feedback! One big issue we have with bulk reservations is that there is a conflict with requiring an active pass to reserve spots. That opens up a lot of complicated scenarios - what if some of the classes the customer doesn't have an active pass for? What if they have 4 visits left but try to book 7 classes? Resolving those conflicts and presenting the customer with the correct response makes this hard. I'm not saying it isn't something we are considering, just that there is a conflict between "let customers sign up as fast as possible" and "never let a customer book more reservations than they have credits for". 😃

Chris Patton I understand. It must be difficult trying to workout ways around these situations at the back end for you. Thanks for your reply.

Chris Patton: ideally, if they are trying to book seven classes and they only have four passes, PP notifies them and makes it easy for them to buy more passes
